BSA will send flowers to Battelle staff and immediate family members as a result of hospitalization or death based on the criteria below.
- In the event of hospitalization of a Battelle staff or immediate family member residing in the staff member's home, flowers will be delivered to the hospital, within the Mid-Columbia region, or the staff member's residence.
- In the event of death, flowers will be delivered to the Battelle staff member's residence. Flowers will not be delivered to funeral homes or churches.
Immediate family is considered to be: spouse, children, mother, father, sister, brother, grandparents, mother-in-law or father-in-law.
*Retirees will also receive flowers for those listed above.
**If a retiree passes away, his/her surviving spouse will receive flowers.
