About the Battelle Film Club

The Battelle Film Club is devoted to bringing quality cinema entertainment to the Tri-Cities. Membership is open to all interested members of the community. All films are prefaced by a short introduction, to help the audience understand the film's place in history and industry. After the show, BFC members host an informal discussion in the auditorium lobby. Refreshments are provided. For information about membership see Membership.

The Films

We try to show films that are not available in the cinemas or video rental stores in the Tri-Cities. Often these are small, independent off-Hollywood and foreign films which do not have a wide distribution; others are cinema classics and documentaries. Audience members are encouraged to suggest films by listing them on the "Suggestion List" that can be found on the ticket table in the lobby. Audience suggestions are considered when films for the next series are being discussed. See Past Series for films that have been shown recently.

There are usually two series of eight films each year (Fall and Spring) and occasional summer series, although more frequently there are Members' Only series in the summer.
